An Amazon yard jockey (also called yard marshal or hostler) moves trailers between dock doors, parking spots, and staging areas at Amazon fulfillment centers and distribution centers using a yard truck (also called a spotter truck or terminal tractor).

Amazon yard jockeys earn $22–$28/hr on average, with shift differentials for nights and weekends. CDL Class A is typically required.

Most Amazon yard jockey positions require a CDL Class A license, though some facilities may accept Class B. You'll need to pass a DOT physical and drug screening. Prior yard experience is preferred but not always required.
